Rugger fom Texas:
Having never been to South America, we spent much time considering what tour
company we could trust. We wanted a company that could provide an
experienced guide, well maintained bikes, and an itinerary that would take
us to places that we might not otherwise see. Horzonte Tours provided all
three; every part of the trip was well thought out and all of our
expectations were exceeded. In short, we had a trip of a lifetime and cannot
wait to get back for our next adventure.

Day 2
Today's ride takes us through narrow gorges and broad valleys. We snake through the rough landscapes of the "Valley of Arrows". The beauty of this remote valley almost tops the famous Quebrada de Humahuaca.
We reach the picturesque mountain town of Cachi, overshadowed by mountains over 6000m high. The anthropological museum can be visited here.

Day 3
Today you've got a challenging trip: we cross the highest pass in Salta province, the 4895m high Abra El Acay! The Calchaquí Valley narrows towards the pass. A few river crossings and hairpin bends, and then we can enjoy the stunning views of the wide plains of the Puna. We are 5 km above sea level!
After that experience we've earned our quiet evening.

Day 4
The last day of the tour leads us along the tracks of the legendary "Train to the Clouds", crossing its tracks several times.
First stop today is the famous viaduct of the "Train to the Clouds" (Tren a las Nubes): La Polvorilla .
Then we leave the plains of the Puna and descend to the ruins of Santa Rosa de Tastíl and the colourful valley Quebrada del Toro. We reach Salta and have a traditional barbecue as guests of Horizonte-Tours.
